Nobody expected Christmas to happen the way it did. Although Jesus’ birth has been glamorized over the years, nearly every twist and turn in the story is surprising. Welcoming the Messiah into the world was supposed to look much different. But is it possible the shocking elements of this story can give us hope in our current circumstances?
